Synopsis
In the year 201X, South Korea, China and Japan create a joint economic zone in a Chinese city in which companies from the three countries have business operations. However, this is little more than cosmetic. According to the key intelligence agencies of the three countries, a large-scale natural disaster centred around the city is predicted to occur within three months, and as a consequence, strike more than 80% of the establishments. Because the damage and economic turmoil is expected to be beyond all imagination if this natural disaster strikes, each country devotes efforts to gather intelligence and draw up countermeasures. In the midst of this, it is learnt that one method will prevent most of the damage. It involves installing a special device underground at a certain location in the city. However, the most advanced science and technology as well as huge amounts of money are required. Convinced that this is the only way to save the joint economic zone, the governments of the three countries decide to formulate a cooperative framework and work quickly on the project. Then, someone plans the assassination of person(s) involved and attempts to sabotage the project. A covert team called Strangers 6 is formed to fight against the unknown enemy. Its members include Kaito Satoru (Karasawa Toshiaki) and Tachibana Kenji (Kikawada Masaya) of Japan’s Security Police, Park Tae-hyeon (Oh Ji-ho) and An Ji Hye (Kim Hyo Jin) of South Korea’s National Intelligence Service, and Fang Hai Lian (Bowie Lam) and Zhang Li (Liu Xuan) of China’s Public Safety Bureau.
